Greenwich is comprised of multiple areas, neighborhoods, school districts and zip codes.
Areas are the largest means of division within Townwide Greenwich and include Greenwich (06830 and 06831), Cos Cob (06807), Riverside (06878), and Old Greenwich (06870).
Sections are means of identifying a smaller geographic location within the town. There is some latitude in describing a property by section, with some overlap in geographic location:
- North Parkway (north of the Merritt Parkway)
- South Parkway (south of the Merritt Parkway and north of Post Road)
- South of Post Road (as described)
- Cos Cob
- Glenville
- North Mianus
- Riversville
- Old Greenwich
- Banksville
- Byram
- Pemberwick
Neighborhoods are defined by the Town of Greenwich and are used for formally describing the location of a property and for assessment purposes.
