Great Captain’s Island

One of the many things I love about living in Greenwich, CT is the variety of parks, beautiful beaches and access to the water. One of the gems is Great Captain’s Island. Located 1.5 miles off the Greenwich shoreline in the Long Island Sound, Great Captain’s Island features 17 acres of recreational and conservation land maintained by the Park and Trees Division of the Town of Greenwich.  It is but one of the great features of Greenwich, CT that make living and investing in local real estate a goal for those seeking a sense of community and access to the Long Island Sound.

Great Captain’s Island can be reached by private boat or the Greenwich Town Ferry service at Arch Street in Greenwich. Visitors will find boat moorings, beach, picnic tables, shelter and rest rooms. For more information visit the Town of Greenwich website.
